Was al top en gastvrij vanaf het prille begin om 2 tafels te reserveren en af te stemmen, t/m gastvrije en persoonlijke ontvangst in een heerlijke ambiance, lekkere biertjes en heerlijke tapa's. Staff running around keeping busy serving everyone but were attentive, friendly and polite. Great selection of tapas and drinks. Outdoor seating if the weather is kind enough. And if you can snag an outdoor table, you get to do the people-watching for the next-door Albert Kuyp marketplace. And even if your visit is a very short one, make sure that you go downstairs to the stunning art deco restrooms and restroom lobby. Wow. The food was just OK. Let's think of this as Amsterdam Bar Food--which--exactly--it is. Service was friendly and welcoming. Until I asked for some ketchup for my fries. (Uh oh. Tourist Alert.) In Amsterdam bars, we don't eat, or serve, ketchup. You eat fries with mayonnaise. But they're not going to tell you that out loud. Instead, they tell you that the ketchup is no problem, I'll bring that right out. Then you never see your server again. By asking for ketchup, you're gonna have trouble ever getting your check to the table. Ouch. Lesson learned. Still, it's a lovely and beautiful spot to people-watch on your trip to Albert Kuyp.Posted onVerified Lovely lunch Lovely cafe, great lunch with vegan options.
