Heerlijke middag.. top ambiance, top personeel en toppe tapa's! T.g.v. 50e verjaardag met een groep van 13 (jonge)mannen een heerlijk middag bij De Pilsvogel gehad. Was al top en gastvrij vanaf het prille begin om 2 tafels te reserveren en af te stemmen, t/m gastvrije en persoonlijke ontvangst in een heerlijke ambiance, lekkere biertjes en heerlijke tapa's. Terrific tapas Great place with friendly staff and chilled atmosphere with great tunes. Staff running around keeping busy serving everyone but were attentive, friendly and polite. Gorgeous art deco shop, in the heart of Albert Kuyp Cute. Charming. Friendly. Welcoming. And if you can snag an outdoor table, you get to do the people-watching for the next-door Albert Kuyp marketplace. And even if your visit is a very short one, make sure that you go downstairs to the stunning art deco restrooms and restroom lobby. Wow. The food was just OK. Let's think of this as Amsterdam Bar Food--which--exactly--it is. Service was friendly and welcoming. Until I asked for some ketchup for my fries. (Uh oh. Tourist Alert.) In Amsterdam bars, we don't eat, or serve, ketchup. You eat fries with mayonnaise. But they're not going to tell you that out loud. Instead, they tell you that the ketchup is no problem, I'll bring that right out. Then you never see your server again. By asking for ketchup, you're gonna have trouble ever getting your check to the table. Ouch. Lesson learned. Good food and atmosphere! Great food and a fun atmosphere! In the less touristy part of Amsterdam, which was great. Our server was great. It was quite busy. Overall would go there again!
